Multan Sun Temple
The Multan Sun Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Surya Bhagavan, which is situated in the present day Punjab, Pakistan. This temple also looks in a dilapidated state, since it was destroyed by Muslim rulers before few hundred years.
The original temple was built by Lord Krishna’s son Samba before 5,400 years, and he has constructed the temple in order to get relieved from his skin diseases. Once, during the dwaparayuga, one of Lord Krishna’s wife fell in love with Samba. Due to that, Lord Krishna has cursed him to suffer from skin disease. Due to the advice given by a sage, he performed severe penance on Lord Surya near the present day Konark Sun Temple.
After getting relieved from his disease, it is believed, that he has constructed temples for Lord Surya in the present day Konark as well as in the present day Pakistan. Actually Sri Samba is considered as a holy incarnation of Lord Shiva, and it is believed that after his death, he was merged with Lord Shiva.
