We can meditate the almighty by hearing the “OM” sound either from the Music Players or from our mobile phone itself. If we simply meditate on the almighty, we would easily get bored or otherwise we would easily get diverted on other worldly matters, since we are all born as ordinary people, and we are subject to personal attachments.
Hence it is always highly recommended to meditate peacefully by hearing the “OM” Sound.Om is an important Mantra and it is a sacred sound and a spiritual symbol in Hinduism. It signifies the essence of the ultimate reality, consciousness or Atman.By regularly chanting the “OM” Mantra we would get good prosperity in our life.‘Om’ is an eternal, universal sound, the Brahmanand it denotes the supreme spirit, also called as almighty.
Ancient Rishis were able to do good meditation even without hearing anything, since they were able to keenly meditate the almighty by keeping the sound of the “OM” mantra on their soul itself. Meditation is also considered as a type of Therapy and by continuously doing meditation even some of our mental and physical diseases would be healed. Even some the doctors in USA and UK, recommends the patients to listen to the “OM” sound, and also they asks them to do peaceful meditation by hearing the divine sound occur from that peaceful mantra.
Our Guru Raghavendra Swamy is doing rigorous meditation at his Holy abode Mantralaya, by chanting the “OM” mantra, along with the Rama Mantra, for a few hundreds of years, and that’s why he is still able to shower his utmost grace on his devotees uninterruptedly.
Ancient kings and Rishis like Prahalada, Dhruva, Markandeya used to meditate on the almighty by chanting the “OM” mantra. “OM” Mantra is also considered to be a form of our first god Lord Vinayaka, since his elephant form of head symbolizes the “OM” Mantra.
During the times of performance of Yagnas, the “OM” mantra would be widely used, since only by using this mantra, the Yagna would get fully completed in all respects.
We can also practice meditation by listening to some YouTube Videos or otherwise by visiting to the meditation classes conducted by some expert meditation practitioners.
