On the third day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsvams on Saturday morning (15 September 2018), Sri Malayappa Swamy donned Yoga Narayana and enthralled the devotees with a celestial ride on the ferocious Simha Vahanam.
The sacred Simha vahanam with the Lord riding on a Lion with a sitting posture of “Yoga Narayanamurthy” the icon of Gnana and Bhakti themes fascinated the scores of devotees who thronged Tirumala.
Lion is a symbol of royalty and power. Lord assumed the form of half man and half lion in his Narasimha Avathara. Lord Sri Krishna says in Bhagavath Geetha that he is the Lion among the animals.
The devotees occupied every inch of Mada streets to catch a glimpse of Lord on Simha Vahanam and were captivated by His divine charm.
According to the theology of Vaishnavism, Narasiṁhavataram indicated the omnipresence of God and his ever readiness to come to the aid of His devotees, no matter how difficult or impossible the circumstances may appear to be, in all situations if they sincerely pray Him.
TTD Chairman Sri P Sudhakar Yadav, EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, TTD Board Member Smt Sudha Narayanamurthy, Addl CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, VGO Sri Raveendra Reddy, Temple DyEO Sri Haridranath, Peishkars Sri Ramesh, Sri Nagaraj and others were also present.
