Makara Sankranthi Sand Sculpture by Tarani Misro

Sankranti Sand Sculpture by Tarani Misro

Tarani Misro, a renowned sand sculpture from Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, has drawn a sand sculpture on 12 January 2011 based on the theme of Makara Sankranthi. The sculpture defines every aspect of Sankranti (Pongal / Lohri / Bihu) – bullock cart wheels, Makara rashi (Capricorn / Crocodile), pot full of grains, milk spilling out from a pot, etc.

Personally, this Sankranti sculpture is one of the best sand sculptures I had ever seen. It is very colourful. He uses herbal and natural colors for his sand sculptures.
