Lohri 2021 | Lohri Festival – 13 January 2021

13 January 2021 is Lohri Festival. It is celebrated on a day prior to Makara Sankranti festival. It is mainly celebrated in North Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Delhi.

Lohri is celebrated on the eve of winter solstice. It is a cultural extravaganza of Punjabis and Haryanvis.

Brahmin communities in the above regions, Lohri festival is celebrated on the last day of Poush Month.

Lohri festival is similar to that of Bhogi, the first day of Pongal (Makar Sankranti) festival.
