As a part of the Annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor, Laksha Kukumarchana was performed in a grand manner on 29 November 2021.
Kumkuma or the vermilion has a most significant place in Hindu religion and Kumkuma implies Stree Shakti as it symbolically represented as the combination of Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvathi.
Conduction of Laksha Kukumarchans as a prelude to Brahmotsavam is an age old practice at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple.
Archakas performed the prestigious and sacred ritual at Sri Krishna Mukha mandapam inside the temple between 8am and 12 noon and hundreds of women devotees took part in the fete.
They recited Lakshmi Astottaram, Lakshmi Sahasranamam on this celestial occasion.

హిందూ సనాతన ధర్మంలో కుంకుమకు ఎనలేని ప్రాధాన్యత ఉంది. వివాహితురాలైన మహిళ నుదుట కుంకుమ ధరించడం వల్ల భర్త దీర్ఘాయుష్షు పొందుతాడని హిందూ ధర్మం చెబుతోంది. లక్ష్మి, సరస్వతి, పార్వతి అమ్మవార్ల పేర్లతో పిలవబడుతున్న శక్తి అమ్మవారికి ప్రతిరూపంగా సింధూరం లేదా కుంకుమకు ప్రాశస్త్యం ఉంది. అమ్మవారి ఆలయాల్లో బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు లాంటి భారీ ఉత్సవాలను నిర్వహించే ముందు అర్చకులు లక్ష కుంకుమార్చన నిర్వహించడం సంప్రదాయం. ఈ విశిష్టమైన సేవ ద్వారా అమ్మవారు ప్రసన్నమై ఉత్సవాలు ఎలాంటి ఆటంకాలు లేకుండా విజయవంతంగా జరిగేలా ఆశీర్వదిస్తారని అర్చకులు తెలిపారు.
ఆలయంలోని శ్రీకృష్ణ ముఖ మండపంలో శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారిని ఆశీనులను చేసి ఉదయం 8.00 నుంచి మధ్యాహ్నం 12.00 గంటల వరకు అర్చకులు శాస్త్రోక్తంగా లక్ష కుంకుమార్చన సేవ నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా అర్చకులు లక్ష్మి అష్టోత్తరం, లక్ష్మి సహస్రనామాలను వళ్లిస్తూ అమ్మవారిని కుంకుమతో అర్చన చేశారు. పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో మహిళలు ఈ సేవలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
In connection with the annual Karthika Brahmotsavams in Tiruchanoor which is scheduled from November 30 to December 8, Laksha Kumkumarchana will be performed through a virtual platform on November 29. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the event will take place in Ekantam.
TTD has fixed the price of the Seva ticket at Rs.1,116 on which two persons will be allowed. These tickets will be released soon online. The devotees will be allowed for darshan within 90 days from the date of booking of an online ticket through the Rs.100 queue line, free of cost.
