Kripa who was also known as Kripacharya is an incarnation of Lord Brahma, and is also the main person in Mahabharata, and is considered to be one of the seven Chiranjivis. He was the son of Saradvan and Janapadi. He was adopted along with his sister Kripi by King Shantanu.

Kripa learnt all kinds of Vedas, Shastras and arts and became a royal teacher. His sister Kripi got married with Sri Dhronacharya, and their son was Aswathama, who was also one among the seven Chiranjeevis. Kripa was the great grandson of Gautama Maharishi, and he fought on the Kauravas side in the Kurukshetra war, and is considered as an important rishi in this Kaliyuga, and he will become one of the Saptarishi in the next Kritayuga.

Kripa taught all kinds of arts to the Pandavas and the Kauravas, and he was also served as the chief priest in the court of Hastinapura. He was praised by Bhishma as a great warrior and was highly honoured by the Pandavas and the Kauravas.

Let us worship the great sage Sri Kripa and be blessed.
