Khalilagi Ekadashi is one of the famous Ekadashi festivals at Puri Jagannath Temple in Odisha. In 2022, Khalilagi Ekadashi date is June 24.
It falls in Krishna Paksha of Aashada Month as per North Indian Hindi calendars and in Jyeshta Month according to Amavasyant calendars. It coincides with Yogini Ekadashi of all other Panchangams.
Many special rituals will be performed on this day at Puri Jagannath Temple. It falls prior to world famous Puri Jagannath Rathayatra.
Khalilagi Ekadashi is observed in the absence of the presiding deities – Lord Jagannath, Subhadra and Balabhadra. ‘Sarbhanga Neeti’ is performed on Khalilagi Ekadashi.
