Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samithi (Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee), Hyderabad’s mamoth Ganesh Mandal, has released the model picture of 58-foot giant Ganapathi Vigraham for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations 2016. Today (2 July 2016), the Ganesh Utsav Committee has released the picture to press.
“Sri Shaktipeetha Shiva Nagendra Maha Ganapathi” is the basic theme name for this Ganpati. As per the picture released, it will have Tirumala Tirupati Venkateshwara Swamy at its left side and the scene of Lord Krishna lifting Govardhana Giri in Mahabharata at its right side. The idol will have Shivalinga in the background with Nagendra hooded on Linga. The portrayals of Goddess Saraswati, Lalitatripura Sundari, Nagendra Swamy and Kamadhenu are also play their part in this large Ganesha.
Khairatabad Ganesha (the Mammoth Ganapathi idol) known as the biggest and one of the most popular Ganesha Utsav mandals in not only Hyderabad but also in entire India, has got their first puja to Ganesha on 16 June 2016.
In 2016, Ganesh Navaratri begins on September 5 with Ganesh Chaturhti Puja.
Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samithi has conducted Bhumi Puja on Thursday for the construction of Ganesh Utsava murthi for Vinayaka Chavithi 2016.
According to the organizers, this year the Ganapathi vigraham will be of 58 feet height.
This year (2016) is the 62nd Year of Ganapathi Navaratri celebrations for Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samithi. On this occasion, some special pujas will be performed.
As per the official sources, the design will be finalized after discussing with the devotees from various sections and taking advises from common people.
