Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samathi has decided to install a 27-feet Ganesh idol for this Ganesh Chaturthi utsavams. In 2020, Ganesh Chaturthi utsavams begins on August 22 with Vinayaka Chavithi and ends on September 1 with Ganesh Nimajjanam (Anantha Chaturdashi).

No devotees will be allowed to have the darshan of Lord Ganesha this year due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation. However, online darshan will be permitted.

The sculptor of Khairatabad Ganesh, Shilpi Rajender who has been making the giant Ganesh will also prepare the 27-feet idol this year as well. The clay to prepare the idol is being brought from Gujarat.

According to the committee against the regular tradition, the mammoth Ganesh idol will not be immersed in Hussain Sagar this year and will be dissolved at the same place by performing abhishekham.

Khairatabad Ganesh 2019 – 61-feet Sri Dwadashaditya Maha Ganapati

“Sri Dwadashaditya Maha Ganapati” is the basic theme name for this Ganpati. As per sources, the idol will have 12-headed snake in the background. The idol will also have 14 arms and 14 Ayudhams (weapons), one each in a hand.

Khairatabad Ganesh 2018 – 57-feet Sri Saptamukha Vinayakudu

“Sri Saptamukha Vinayakudu” is the basic theme name for this Ganpati. As per sources, the idol will have 7-headed snake in the background. The idol will also have 14 arms and 14 Ayudhams (weapons), one each in a hand.

The Seven-headed mammoth idol will have Srinivasa Kalyanam (the set of celestial marriage of Lord Venkateshwara and Padmavathi Ammavaru) in the left side and Shiva Parvathi in the right side.

Khairatabad Ganapathi 2017 – Sri Chandi Kumara Anantha Maha Ganapathi

Sri Chandi Kumara Anantha Maha Ganapathi” is the basic theme name for this Ganpati. As per the picture released, it will have ‘Maha Kala Sadashivudu’ at its left side and the scene of ‘Mahishasura Mardhini’ at its right side. The idol will have 12-headed snake in the background. The portrayals of Goddess Chandi and Lord Subrahmanya Swamy (Kumara swamy) are also play their part in this large Ganesha.
