Gopadma Vrata, Go Padma Vratam, is a four month long Vrata observed during the Chaturmas puja (four holy months in Hinduism), starting from Devsayani Ekadashi or Vishnu Shayana Ekadashi. In 2021, Gopadma Vratam date is July 20 (It begins on July 20).
It is a festival of farmers and the people associated with dairy industry who consider Govu (cow) as their source of living.
The major rituals of Go Padma Vrata, the vrat especially dedicated to Lord Vishnu, include Vishnu Puja and Go pooja. Lord Sri Krishna is also worshipped in some places.
