On the fifth day of TTD Brahmotsavam, in the morning Mohini Avatara Utsavam and in the evening Garuda Vahana sevas are celebrated in Tirumala Tirupati. In 2024, Fifth day of Navaratri Brahmotsavams date is October 8 (Navaratri Brahmotsavam).
Mohini Avatara Utsavam on Pallakhi (Palanquin)
On the fifth day morning, Lord goes around four mada streets decorated in ‘Mohini Avatharam’. Lord takes the form of ‘Mohini’, the divine damsel who distributes Amrit (nectar). In this vahana Lord is embodiment of eternal beauty.
Garuda Vahana Seva (Malayappa Swamy riding Garuda)
The most important event of Brahmotsavam, Garuda Vahana seva is performed in the night on fifth day. Lord goes around mada streets riding garuda, the eagle god. Lakhs of devotees attend the festival on this day.
