Durva Triratri Vrata is one of the highly auspicious Vratas observed in Bhadrapada Month. It begins on Shukla Paksha Trayodashi in Bhadrapada Month and ends on Bhadrapada Purnima.
Fasting is observed during this women-dedicated Vrata on Purnima day. Purnima Vrat Katha is recited.
Durva are kept on the divine couple Uma and Maheshwar and are worshipped along with Yam Dharmaraja and Savitri. Savitri Vrat Katha is also recited on this day. On first day, some people observe Homa with Til, Ghrit, and Samidha.
The merits of this vrata vary from – infinite happiness, wealth and health and begetting children (Putra Prapti Vrat).
