Bengali Association of Singapore will celebrate Durga Puja 2010 from 14th October to 17th October 2010. The festival is celebrated for 5 continuous days with utmost fervor by Singapore Bengali community. It represents the Bengali culture and tradition in grand manner. The social and economic significance of Durga Puja can hardly be over-exaggerated. It involves the service of cross-sections of the people, beginning from the potters, craftsmen, drummers, painters, blacksmiths, gardeners, cleaners, decorators, artists and artisans and a host of others down to the high priests. Everyday from 14th October to 17th October Durga Puja will start at 6 pm. Lakshmi Puja is also celebrated on October 22nd.
