Don’t poke your nose on others matters, since it would lead to lot of misunderstandings, hatred and enmity also would be developed with others. First of all, finding solutions for our problems is very difficult in such situations there is no need to intervene with others personal matters. In general, people are having lot of interest to know about their neighbours matters, about their living condition, about their financial condition and about their miseries and sorrows. Some people would tell straight away to us, “THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS”, if we try to give solutions to their own personal problems.
Gossips and Rumours were there even since during the Ramayana and the Mahabharata period, and it had even put up an end to the life of Ma Sita. After hearing about the rumour speech of a washerman, Lord Rama had sent his pregnant wife Ma Sita to the forest, but, however, she was properly looked after by Valmiki Maharishi. During the time of the Syamantaka Jewel issue, since the Dwaraka people began to gossip about the matter between each other, Lord Krishna himself has to prove his innocence in front of his people.
When the grandson of Prahalada, Mahabali had asked about how to handle the situation of gossips, Prahalada had answered to him, “Hey my beloved Bali, never and ever interfere with the personal matters of others, and do it only if they wilfully ask you to intervene with their matters. Always be generous with others, show your kindness and sympathy, but don’t show leniency on bad people, since that would lead to commitment of crimes. Always be pure, perfect and pious. You should consider yourself as one man army, and fight bravely with your enemies, without worrying about the success or failures, since in this earth we have to consider both success and failures equally”.
Hence let us first think about our own problems, and if necessary and during the times of emergency situations, we can interfere on others matters and with their permission, we can reduce the severity of their problems.
