The Dhwajasthambha Sthapana was observed in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy Temple in Tirupati on 7 April 2018 amidst chanting of veda mantras by 30 Ritwiks hailing from AP, TN and Karnataka.
TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal who took part in “Ritwik Varanam” programme along with Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar speaking on this religious occasion said, that the Maha Samprokshanam of Sri GT took place 12 years ago in May 2004. While the Dhwajasthambha Sthapanam about seven decades ago.

As a part of this fete, Viswaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Ratnanyasam, Dhwajaradhanam,Rathnasthapanam were performed by Ritwiks before Dhwajasthambha Sthapana.
In the evening Ankurarpanam was performed between 7:30pm and 8:30pm followed by the celestial ride of Lord on Pedda Sesha Vahanam in the four mada streets of the temple.
While on April 8, there will be Raksha Bandhanam to Ritwiks and Vaidika Programmes in Yagashala of the temple between 9:30am and 12 noon.
