Srimad Dhruva Bhagavatham

Srimad Dhruva Bhagavatham, story of Srimad Dhruva Bhagavatham, how different is Srimad Dhruva Bhagavatham from Srimad Bhagavatham.

The wonderful conversation between Narada and Dhruva about the supremacy of Lord Vishnu, in the forest, was later converted in the form of ancient manuscripts, which was popularly known as SRIMAD DHRUVA BHAGAVATHAM. As we all know, Dhruva and Prahalada are the most popular devotees of Lord Vishnu, and they are well praised whenever Lord Vishnu is praised!

Sage Narada served as the Spiritual Guru to the young prince Dhruva, guiding him from a desire for worldly revenge to supreme spiritual realization. After Dhruva was insulted by his stepmother, Narada initiated him with the mantra “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” and advised him to meditate in Madhuvana, leading to Dhruva’s vision of Vishnu.

Narada encountered a determined five-year-old Dhruva heading to the forest. Despite initially trying to dissuade him due to his young age, Narada was impressed by the boy’s resolve and accepted him as a disciple.

Narada taught Dhruva how to meditate on the form of Sri Hari (Lord Vishnu) and provided the specific sacred mantra “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya”.

Dhruva initially sought to perform penance to gain a kingdom greater than his father’s. Under Narada’s guidance, his desire matured, and upon seeing Lord Vishnu, he became fully satisfied, deeming his previous desires as mere “scraps of glass”.

Narada advised Dhruva to overcome his anger and focus on the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the ultimate refuge for all.

Dhruva Bhagavata Purana is also known as Srimad Dhruva Bhagavatam, is a great epic, and it initiates the Sri Vishnu Bhakti, and it is praised by several scholars, saints and sages for its simplicity, easy readability, significance and for its popularity.
