According to ancient Hindu texts, Dhata is one of the Adityas. He is the son of Aditi and Kashyapa. He is the god of health, wealth and the giver of peacefulness to us. He can be worshipped by chanting his name “OM SRI DHATA DEVAYA NAMAHA”, and can be worshipped along with Mata Lakshmi Devi, for getting sufficient wealth and for having good health, and his name is chanted in Vedic rituals and fire sacrifices.

Dhata is the giver of boons to us, based on our true devotion. In Rig Veda, Lord Dhata was mentioned in detail. He appears in golden colour, and contains a smiling face. He is also found in ancient temples sculptures, and he is considered as a popular deity during the ancient times. He is controlled by Lord Indra, and functions as per his orders.

He is a popular Deva, and without his help, we could not get peace anywhere in this world. He gives us good physique and good memory power. He is the god of peace and prosperity.
