Since this Sampurna Chandra Grahanam will be visible in India all the rituals associated with Chandra Grahan can be followed.

It falls in Thai Masam of Tamil calendar, Makara Masam of Malayalam calendar, Maagh Mash of Bengali calendar and Maagh Month in Nepali Calendar.

This Chandra Grahan of 31st January will be from 4.31 in the evening till 9.38 in the night. Almost all the temples will be closed during this time and will be opened after Grahanam by performing special rituals.
