Nothing goes, if we follow the rituals related to Grahan when it says Penumbral lunar eclipse.. Timings of grahan are given in this post only….
Dear all, do NOT neglect any grahans. My wife lost her umbilical fluid at 7 months pregnancy and was admitted in the maternity home for 2 weeks. She had to be delivered at 7 months and my son was born pre-term. Susequently, he developed retinopathy of prematurity and is blind with light perception in one eye. Later, on tracking the events, we found that there was a solar eclipse on the day she lost her umbilical fluid and was admited to the hospital. Shastras say that it is a Suryagrahan dosha.
Believe me, its simply not worth taking any chances. I have my whole life to regret this, though we were aware of the precautions. Non believers may scoff at Hindu way of life, but it needs a person like me who has to take care of a blind son to set the record straight.
My advice is to stay indoors, chant Vishnu Sahasranamam or Aditya Hridaya or any Shloka as seen fit. Do NOT venture out. Please keep all doors and windows closed.
