Athirathram, 4000-year old Uthkrushta Soma Yagam has begun today (21 April 2012) at Bhadrachalam, Andhra Pradesh. Yetipaka, a village near Bhadrachalam is the venue of the Athirathram rituals. Lakhs of devotees may visit the site during Athirathram. Scientists and enthusiastic researchers reached the venue on 20 April 2012.
