28 January 2026, Sammakka Sarakka Jathara begins in Medaram in Tadvai mandal of Warangal in Telangana region of South Indian state Telangana.

This largest tribal fair in the world begins with ‘Saralamma Raaka’ on 28 January 2026 and ends with ‘Sammakka and Sarakka Vanapravesham’ on 31 January.

Sammakka Saralamma Jathara is celebrated during Magha Purnima, the Full Moon day which comes generally in February as per the Gregorian calendar.
