Supermoon in May 2021 will be the biggest moon of the year, 2021. It will be the brightest night in this year. It is Jyeshta Purnima (Full Moon day in Jyeshta Month) as per Indian Hindu calendars. It is Vaigasi Pournami in Tamil Nadu, Edava Paurnami in Kerala & Boishakh Poornima in Bengal.
And on 26 May 2021 there is Total Lunar Eclipse also. This Sampurna Chandra Grahan will take place in Anuradha Nakshatram of Vrischika Rashi on Jyeshta Poornima, the Full Moon day in Jyeshta Month as per Hindu calendar.
We have watched the ‘Extreme Supermoon’ in 2011. Extreme Super Moon was on March 19, 2011 coinciding with Falgun Purnima (Holi Purnima). You can see the images of Extreme Super Moon 2011 here… (It was 14% larger moon and 15-30% brighter moon).
