Balatripura Sundari Devi is the 2nd day Alankaram in Vijayawada Temple Navaratri 2017, 22 September. During Dasara Navaratri of Kanakadurga Temple, each day one of the forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped.
On second day this year, Kanakadurga Mata is decorated in the form of Sri Balatripura Sundari Devi and worshipped. This Dwitiya Navratri falls on Ashwayuja Shukla Paksha Vidiya tithi.
Balatripura is the first goddess in the Tripura Traya and she is the main goddess of all in the SriYantra. Without having got the mantra of Bala one is not eligible to perform the Sri Yantra Pooja.
Last year also, Balatripura Sundari Devi was the second day Goddess in Vijayawada Temple. The Alankarams of Navratri puja differs from year to year depending on the Nakshatras and Temple’s Agama Shasthra.
