Lord Krishna had taken the Vishwaroopa Darshan during the Dwapara Yuga. He had taken the form, in order to show his presence all around the universe, and to give comfort to the people, and to inform them that he would be readily available before them whenever they need his help.
Even though god contains great powers, he never misused that. He is utilizing the powers for the purpose of doing good things to us. Through his powers, he is giving us all sorts of comforts and luxuries, and affectionately consoles us during the times of miseries and sorrows.
Lord Krishna had taken the Viswaroopa form for three times. First, when Duryodana tried to push him inside a pit, he gigantically grown up, and revealed his true powers to him. Next, he has taken the form, during the time of Kurukshetra war, and asked Arujuna to perform his duty properly, and gave the divine script Bhagavat Gita to us. Third time, he took the form, when he met Uttanka Maharishi, and when he tried to curse him, for not stopping the battle between the Pandavas and the Kauravas.
Though Lord Krishna had got the powers to destroy the evil forces immediately, he didn’t do that. The reason behind that is he doesn’t want to interfere with the fate of the humans. Since doing such would create problems with the laid down predetermined fate already fixed by Lord Brahma, and it would be against the rules and regulations. That’s why he never interfered unnecessarily with the cause of the changing situations in the life of the individuals, even to his near and dear persons, the Pandavas.
We must have to console ourselves during the toughest times, and study the divine texts such as Bhagavat Gita, Bhagavatham and Puranas, and must happily think about the Viswaroopa Darshan took by Lord Krishna, and must have faith on him, and praise him with various songs and Slokas.
Let us worship Lord Krishna and be blessed.
