Vikarna | Brother of Duryodhana

As per the epic Mahabharata, Vikarna was one of the sons of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari and a brother of Duryodhana. Among the Kaurava brothers, he was considered as a noble and a good person. He can be compared with his half- brother the mighty warrior Yuyutsu. Vikarna has questioned about the harm caused to Draupadi by Kauravas, even when Bhishma and Drona were maintained silence.

He has also maintained friendly relations with the Pandavas, and an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. But he fought in the Kauravas side during the Kurukshetra war, and was finally killed by Bheema. He was greatly respected by the people of Hastinapur, due to his good behaviour.

Vikarna learnt various kinds of arts from his guru Dronacharya. During the dice game of the Mahabharata, Vikarna raised his voice against the wrongful act of playing the dice game by Duryodhana and his uncle Shakuni, since Pandavas were lost everything in the dice game.

Let us worship the noble man and be blessed.
