Vaigasi Vasantha Utsavam is a jubilant festival held at Madurai Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple. As the name indicates this festival is conducted in Vaigasi Masam of Tamil calendar.
In 2013, Vaigasi Vasantha Utsavam dates are – it begins on 15 May and ends on 24 May.
In view of the `Vaikasi Vasantha Utsavam’ at the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple from May 15 to 24 May, the special `Tirukkalyanam’ and golden chariot procession, organised either on behalf of the temple or individuals, will not be conducted. The `thanga kavacham’ and `vaira kreedam’ will not adorn the deities during the festival.
