The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) board has decided to develop Tiruchanoor Padmavathi Temple on the same lines as Tirumala Balaji Temple. On 15 May 2013, the meeting of the board members of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, TTD, which manages the richest Temple complex in the world, has concluded with the decision of developing the temple town of Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanoor on the lines of Tirumala.
The first step in the direction the TTD had been resolved to recommend to the government to bring the Tiruchanoor panchayat under the fold of the TTD. Allaying fears among local denizens of Tiruchanoor, the officials said that the intention behind the move was to craft out more facilities for the benefit of the visiting pilgrims thronging the tiny hamlet abutting the Tirupati town such as widening of the four mada streets, construction of amenities complex, waiting halls etc.
TTD also resolved to construct massive Pilgrim Amenities Complexes (PAC) at Bhadrachalam, Arasavalli, Penchalakona, Sri Kalahasti, Mahanandi with its funds.
