TTD Presents Silk Vastrams to Lord Tanikesan, Tiruttani for Adi Krittika… In connection with the auspicious Adi Krittika in the famous hill shrine of Lord Tanikesan in Tiruttani of Tamilnadu, about 50km from Tirupati, who is also popular by the names Lord Muruga or Lord Shunmukha, the temple administration of TTD has offered silk vastrams on behalf of Lord Venkateswara.

Adikrittika is considered to be one of the most important festivals in this famous shrine and Tiruttani is considered to be one among the “Aaru Padai Veedu”.

TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal offered silk vastrams to the presiding deity. He was earlier welcomed by the temple Chairman Sri Jayashankar, Temple EO Sri Sivajai and other officials.

This famous shrine of Lord Muruga is located on a small mount in Tiruttani of Tamilnadu which is about 50 kilometres from Tirupati.

Every TTD offers silk vastrams to the presiding deity as a gift from Lord Venkateswara on this important day.

Tiruttani is considered to one among “Arupadaiveedu” of Lord Muruga. It is believed that Lord Muruga married one of His consorts Sri Valli at this sacred place.
