Trilochan Ashtami (Trilochana Ashtami, Trilochanashtami) is an auspicious day dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. In 2017, Trilochan Ashtami date is June 2. It is also observed as Kamya Trilochan Puja in Bengal.
Trilochanashtami is observed on Jyeshta Shukla Ashtami, eighth day in bright half of Jyeshta month.
Shivling Puja, Shiva Parvati Puja, or Uma Shivagni Puja the main rituals of Trilochanstami festival. Shiva Parvati or Uma Shivagni Puja is observed by married women and men for marital bliss. Unmarried girls also worship Lord Shiva and Parvati for best husband.
Khir Bhavani Mela is celebrated on this day at Khir Bhavani temple near Srinagar, Kashmir. Dhumavathi Jayanthi and Shukla Devi Puja are some other pujas observed on Jyeshta Shukla Astami day in various parts of India.
