TTD, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, commenced the trial run of the moving platform at Venakteswara swamy temple in Alipiri on 5 May 2011. It enables devotees to have hassle-free darshan of Srivari Divya mangala murthi. The moving platform is 3.5 ft in width and 5 ft in length and has a capacity to carry 12 persons at a single go. It moves with a speed of 2 mph and operates within the 23/17 feet area inside the sanctum sanctorum (from Garudalwar to statues of Jaya-Vijaya).
There will be no problem with the moving platform as the we can adjust the speed as per our requirement. This moving platform will be available during Mahalaghu Darshan only.
