There are many interesting temples near the Tulja Bhavani Shakti Peeth in Maharashtra. Some of the important places are mentioned below:
Ghatshil : This temple is situated at western side of city on hill along the Solapur Highway.It is believed that Lord Rama had visited this place and Goddess Tulja Bhavani stood on the rocks and showed him direction to Lanka.
Papanashi : This is a lake which is believed to destroy and wash away the sins of devotees. It is believed that Indra took bath in this lake. It is located outside the temple about half a kilometer away. Thousands of devotees take a holy dip in this lake before proceeding to the darshan of Tulja Bhavani.
Mankavai Tirth : Also known as vishnu tirth, this is situated on the north eastern side of Tulja Bhavani Templw and it is believed to be a combination of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. Taking bath in this lake is believed to be equivalent to going to kashi and bathing in the ganges.
Dhakate Tuljapur : It is a small temple about 2 and half kms frm Tuljapur. In 1939 the idol of Bhavani was found and a temple was built for this idol.
Sant Garibnath Mutt : Also known as Dashavatar mutt , this is located close to the temple and decorated with images of ten incarnations of Vishnu on the walls.
Bharati Buwa’s Mutt : It is a holy ashram in Tuljapur, which is believed to be established by Mahant Bharati Buwa, one of the ardent devotees of Sri Tulja Bhavani.
Wakoji Buwa’s Mutt : The residing Mahant of this mutt is the custodian of keys of the temple and is responsible for washing the feet of the deity every morning.
Hamroji Buwa’s Mutt : The Mathadhipati is entrusted with the responsibilities of safekeeping the ornaments, jewellary and the diamond encrusted golden crown of the Goddess.
