SRI KRISHNA TV SERIAL
Shri Krishna, also known as Krishna is an Indian Hindi-language television 1993 TV serial, created, written and directed by Ramanand Sagar. It is based on the stories of the life of Krishna, based on Bhagavata Purana, Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Harivamsa, Vishnu Purana, Padma Purana, Garga Samhita, Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata.
This series covers various aspects of Krishna’s life, including his birth, childhood antics, his role in the kingdom of Mathura, his teachings in the Bhagavad Gita, and his crucial role in the Kurukshetra War, a central event in the Mahabharata. It also delves into his relationships with characters like Radha, his childhood friend, and his interactions with other gods, demons, and mortals.
In the first episode Ramanand Sagar talks about the beginning of the Kali Yuga period, and about king Parikshita being the last king and Kali Yuga starting. It also shows a glimpse of the Mahabharata War
Then the series starts focusing on Shri Krishna’s life like his childhood antics, and dives into his relationship with Radha, and Balrama’s marriage with Revati, Nara-Narayana, and Yudhishthira being declared as the crown price of Indraprastha.
Shri Krishna was produced by Ramanand Sagar, Subhash Sagar, and Prem Sagar under the banner “Sagar Enterprises” and directed by Ramanand Sagar, Anand Sagar, and Moti Sagar. The role of young Krishna was played by Swapnil Joshi and adult Krishna was played by Sarvadaman D. Banerjee. Govind Khatri was initially roped in to play the role of Dushasan, however later ended with the role of Karna.
Bhakti TV Serial throw us a light about the important incidents happened in the life of the divine deities and saints, and would make us to get more bhakti on the almighty. Nowadays most of the TV Serial producers are not interested to produce bhakti films, due to their fear in getting poor box office collections.
But in general, if the producers produce the bhakti TV Serial by observing proper fasting and with full of devotion in their mind, definitely their TV Serial would succeed well, and their expectations would never go wrong.
God would do wonders in the life of his devotees, based on their true faith on him. Similar to the TV series, Ramayan and Mahabharat, Sri Krishna TV Serial also had captured the hearts of millions and millions of audiences, and even now, Ramayan and Mahabharat is still re-telecasted in the TVs.
