Janmashtami, also known as Krishnashtami, Gokulashtami, or Sri Krishna Jayanthi, celebrates the birth of Lord Sri Krishna. In Hyderabad, it is celebrated with lot of gusto. Especially in ISKCON temples and the centers of Hare Krishna Movement, the celebrations reach the unlimited spirituality. On this day, few lakhs of devotees visit Sri Krishna temples around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. ISKCON temples celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami 2010 on September 2nd.
With Darshana Arati at 7 am on Thursday, Janmastami celebrations will begin. 9 am to 1 pm Jhulan Seva is performed. Harinama Japa Yagna time is between 9 am to 6 pm, and Mahabhisheka for Krishna concludes the festivities of Sri Krishna Janmashtami in center of Hare Krishna Movement, Serilingampally, Hyderabad.
