1 June 2019 is Shani Trayodashi. Shani Trayodashi is an auspicious day dedicated to Lord Shani (Shanishwara Bhagavan).
It falls in Vaishakha Masam as per Marathi, Telugu, Kannada and Gujarati calendars but in Jyeshta Month as per all North Indian Hindu calendars (Purnimant Panchangams).
It falls in Edava Masam of Malayalam calendar, Vaigasi Masam of Tamil calendar and Jyeshto Month as per Bengali Panjika.
As per the Shastras, it is believed that worshipping shani may minimise the impact or effect of shani dosham (defects in ones birth chart or the bad deeds done by the native during the previous birth) on their life.
Devotees and believers of Shani dosham perform Shani dosha puja to please Shani and to bless them with reduced or minimised effects of Shani dosha. Some people observe fast on the day of Shani puja.
Pradosh Puja time is 4.30 to 6’0 clock in the evening. Pradosastakam is an auspicious prayer chanted during Pradosh Shiv Pujan.
Shani Thailabhishekam, Shani Graha Shanti Puja, Hanuman Puja, Hanuman Aaku puja, Sindhura Puja to Hanuman are the best pujas to observe today. Click here to Read Shani Gayatri Mantram, Shani Graha Moola Mantram, Adhidevata & Pratyadhidevata Mantrams..
