Saidapuram Veerabhadra Swamy Temple near Yadagirigutta

Saidapuram Veerabhadra Swamy Temple near Yadagirigutta is one of the ancient temples in Nalgonda district of Telangana.

According to sources, this Veerabhadra Swamy Temple was built by the rulers of Kakatiya dynasty in 12th century to 13th century AD. There are some inscriptions that affirm this.

Apart from Veerabhadra Swamy, Saidapuram temple has several other idols such as Shivalingam, Kalikadevi, etc,. The stupendous beauty of the idols reflects the artistic skills of the artists.

Brahmotsavams will be performed to Veerabhadra Swamy during Maha Shivaratri and Karthika Masam.

The villagers of Saidapuram are requesting the Yadagirigutta Temple committee and the endowment department of Telangana state to take up this temple under the aegis of Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha swamy Temple Board and develop it.

As per the sources, Saidapuram temple has a prominent role in ‘Telangana Sayudha Poratam’ (Freedom Movement of Telangana) against Nizam rulers and Razakars.
