‘Safe Ganesh Mandals in Mumbai to get Awards’, says the press release of Fire and Security Association of India. Ganesh mandals that make an attempt to ensure their pandals are safe for visitors stand to win cash prizes of up to Rs 1 lakh.
In 2014, Ganeshotsav begins on August 29th with Ganesh Chaturthi and ends on September 8 with Anant Chaturdashi.
The Fire and Security Association of India has announced awards for mandals which provide CCTVs, fire extinguishers and electrical safety. The officials are inviting mandals to allow them to conduct a fire security audit.
The top three winners will win Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. Prizes will be distributed a fortnight after Anant Chaturdashi.
