Pushya Maasa 2017-2018 in Kannada Calendar

Pushya Maasa or Pushya month is the tenth month in traditional Kannada calendar followed in Karnataka. In 2017-2018, Pushya maasa begins on December 19, 2017 and ends on 16 January 2018. Same calendar is followed in Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Pushya maasa is considered as inauspicious month for some kinds of Hindu rituals like marriages, gruhapravesh, engagements (Nischithartha), etc. but is well-known for its spiritual importance.

Shukla Paksha in Pushya maasa 2017-18 starts on December 19 and ends on January 2, 2018.

Krishna paksha in Pushya maasa 2017-18 begins on 3 January and ends on 16 January.

Bhogi, Sankranti, Pushya Navaratri or Shakambari Navaratri in Banashankari Temple of Badami, and Shadthila Ekadashi are the important festivals in Pushya maasa in Kannada Calendar. Next month in Kannnda Panchanga is Magha masam.

In 2014, Pushya maasa begins on January 2 and ends on January 30.

In 2013, Pushya maasa was from January 11 to February 10. Pushya masa 2011-2012 was from 25 December 2011 to January 23, 2012.
