Bhagyalakshmi Mata in Hyderabad – decorated with flowers
Pushpashtami is an auspicious vrata observed in Shravan Month. It is performed on the eighth day of bright half of Shravana Maasa (Shravan Shukla Ashtami). In 2013, Pushpashtami Vrata date is August 14.
It is performed by worshipping our presiding deities (family deities) like Shiva, Vishnu, Durga, Krishna, Rama.. with various flowers.
Shodashopachara Puja is observed during the puja and special recipes are offered as Naivedyam. Devotees should take care about the types of flowers which we offer to the deities.
