Pushkara Harathi at Saraswathi Ghat, Rajahmundry Godavari Pushkaralu – All the roads led to Saraswathi Pushkar Ghat in the temple city of Rajamundry on Thursday evening amidst the rhythmic chanting of “Govinda Namas” as the Processional deity of Lord Venkateswara took celestial ride in the guise of Lord Sri Krishna as “Kaliyamardhana”.
Both sides of the roads passing via Kotilingala circle was abuzz with spiritual activity as the denizens and pilgrims and the entire premises echoed to the melodious notes of Nadaswara. The devotees lined up to capture the divine glimpse of Lord in their mobile cameras and iPads.
Later the procession reached Saraswathi Ghat and Harathi was rendered to Goddess River Godavari in the presence of Lord Malayappa in a pleasant climate.
The presence of divine power is felt by devotees as the scorching day was chilled by showers before the commencement of procession. As soon as the celestial procession commenced, the rain stopped making way clear to religious event to complete in a successful manner.
Meanwhile, over the request of Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju on Wednesday evening, honourable AP Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu agreed to offer the celestial pushkarini Harati every day in Saraswathi Pushkar Ghat between 5pm to 6pm.
Later Unjal Seva followed the event. The “Nagaswaram” by Nadaswaram artistes enthralled the pilgrims who thronged the temple premises on Wednesday evening.
Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, DyEOs Sri Kodanda Rama Rao, Sri Venugopal, EEs Sri Jaganmohan Reddy, Sri Narasimha Murthy, Sri Nageswara Rao, Div.EE Sri Ravishankar Reddy, VGOs Sri Ravinder Reddy, Smt Vimala Kumari were also present.
