Prahlada Temple, Multan in Pakistan

Prahlada Temple, Multan in Pakistan..

There was one beautiful temple for Sri Bhakt Prahalad, in Multan, Pakistan which was located nearby the most popular Multan Narasimha Temple. But both of these two temples were destroyed by few militants of Pakistan several years before! These two temples were believed to have been built by an ancient king during the Vedic period, and especially, the idols present in the Bhakt Prahalad temple was supposed to appear similar to Lord Vishnu, and his two consorts. Bhakt Prahalad was believed to have been married two beautiful girls, and their names were Kamini Devi and as Ragini Devi.

It is believed that Sri Bhakt Prahalad is still living in the Sutala Loka(The underworld) along with his consorts and with his grandson Mahabali. Bhakt Prahalad looks similar to his favourite god Vishnu, and of course, he is an aspect of Lord Vishnu. Ancient Vedic period Vishnu devotees worshipped Bhakt Prahalad also by considering him to be an aspect of Lord Vishnu, and in this Bhakt Prahalad Multan Temple, he appears along with his two consorts and along with Lord Vishnu’s belongings, The Sudarsana and Shanka!

In his Bhagavat Gita Discourse, Lord Krishna says, that among the Demons, I am the great Prahalada! and thus it proves that both of them are one and the same.

I am (R. HARISHANKAR), is having the habit of chanting the name of Prahalada since from my childhood days, since, I consider Prahalada similar to Lord Krishna and I used to chant his name frequently. But at the present period, people hesitate to worship the Bhagavathas like Prahalada and Dhruva by considering them only as mere devotees of Lord Vishnu!
Hence let the devotees of Lord Vishnu cultivate the habit of reciting the name of Prahalada also, similar to reciting Lord Vishnu’s names, and let us be blessed.

‘Om’ is an eternal, universal sound, the Brahman and it denotes the supreme spirit, also called as almighty. “Prahaladaya means, offering our sincere prayers to the great Lord Prahalad”. “Nahama” means offering our salutations and Bowing our head before the great almighty, and in this case, it refers to our near and dear Lord Prahalad.
