Railways will run a special train between Gaya and Habibganj in view of Pitripaksha, the fortnight-long festival of departed souls at historic Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya.
Train no 01659 Habibganj-Gaya will run on September 10, 17 and 24 while return train no 01660 will run from Gaya on September 11, 18 and 25. While train no 01659 will depart from Habibganj at 2.35 pm and reach Gaya the next day at 10 am, train no 01660 will leave Gaya at 9 pm and reach Habibganj the next day at 3.30 pm.
The train will pass through Bhopal, Vidisha, Bina, Sagar, Damoh, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Mirzapur and Mughal Sarai among others. Bookings for the trains began on Friday.

The railway administration had decided to run a special train between Gaya and Jabalpur for Pitru Paksha. Its number would be 01709/01710. This train would depart from Jabalpur at 12:25 pm and arrive at Katni at 1:40 pm, Maihar at 2:30 pm, Satna at 5:05 pm, Manikpur at 5:40 pm, Cheoki at 7:15 pm, Mughalsarai at 10:05 pm, Sasaram at 11:48 pm, Dehri-on-Sone at 00:08 am and terminate at Gaya at 2:00 am.
During the return journey, the train would depart from Gaya at about 5:00 pm, Dehri-on-Sone at 6:02 pm, Sasaram at 6:19 pm, Mughalsarai at 8:00 pm, Cheoki at 10:20 pm, Manikpur at 00:05 am, Satna at 1:50 am, Maihar at 2:28 am, Katni at 4:00 am and finally terminate at Jabalpur at 5:30 am. This train would depart from Jabalpur on September 21 and 28 and from Gaya on September 22 and 29.
It would have one AC-II tier, three AC-III tier, 11 sleeper and four general coaches. The railway administration had decided to run train number 02448/02447-02450-02449 Nizamuddin-Manikpur/Khajuraho special train.
Train number 02448/02450 would depart from Nizamuddin every Wednesday from October 2 to November 27 while during the return journey, train number 02447/02449 would depart from Manikpur/Khajuraho every Thursday from October 3 to November 28.
