Phagu Dasami 2020 | First day of Dolyatra in Odisha

Phagu Dasami is the first day of Dolyatra festival in Odisha. It is observed on Phalgun Shukla Dashami, the tenth day in bright half of Falgun month. In 2020, Phagu Dasami date is March 5.

On this day, idols or images of Radha and Lord Krishna are placed on a swing as part of Basantotsav. It also marks the beginning of 5-day Holi festival in Orissa.
