Padmavathi Ammavari Temple Thirumanjanam – 1 December 2015..The famous shrine of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor donned a new and fresh look with the temple cleansing ritual of “Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam” which took place in a grand manner with religious pomp an gaiety on Tuesday.
The temple premises, roofs and walls, vessels, puja items, sub-temples, temple potu etc. were cleansed thoroughly and later an amalgamation of sandalwood paste, turmeric, kichiligadda etc. smeared on to the walls and roofs which gave a fine aroma.
Temple Spl Gr DyEO Smt Chenchu Lakshmi and other temple staff members took part in this temple cleansing ritual from 6am to 9am.
After 9.30am the pilgrims are allowed for darshan.
