Sarpa Samskara Pooja is one of the popular rituals observed at Kukke Temple. Subramanya Swamy Temple of Kukke Sree Kshetra is a famous Temple in South India, exclusively for Sarpa Samskara, Ashlesha Bali and Nagadosha Nivarana Poojas.
Only those devotees who have undergone Upanayana and Pithru samsakara can undertake this ritual by themselves. For others temple will make necessary arrangements on prior request or booking. Performing devotees need to stay here for two days.
Sarpa Samskara can be commenced on all days except Dashami, fasting days like Ekadashi, Ashtami, grahana (eclipse), Shivarathri and fifteen days during Annual festival. Temple provides food arrangements to a limited member of four including Karthru devotee.
Lodging/ Room services are on payment. On the commencing day after taking bath at holy Kumaradhara River the devotees should be present at Adisubrahmanya Temple before 8-30 A.M obtaining the Seva receipt.
Seva devotees after bath in the holy Kumaradhara and Darshana of Lord subramanya should report at 8.30 a.m. on the booked date at Adisubrahmanya sarpasamskara hall in the venue reserved for them.
Follow the instruction given by the Purohitha regarding rituals.
Partake forenoon PRASADA at 12.30 p.m. and evening Tiffin at 6 p.m. in the Adi Subrahmanya Hall. Night meals are forbidden.
Food and snacks arrangements are limited to 4 people per one Seva.
Next day morning after bath report at the very same venue at 6.00 a.m. and have Tiffin at 8.30 a.m. in the Adi Subrahmanya Hall.
Report at NAGAPRATHISHTA MANTAPA in the outer quadrangle of the K.S.S. Temple after Pradakshina. Soon after midday MAHAPOOJA the Archaka concerned will conduct Nagaprathishta Partake PRASADAM.
Sarpa Samskara Seva fee of Rs. 2577 is inclusive of Dana Dakshina to Purohitha, Kriya Karthru, Brahmacharis and Godana. Hence if anybody insists or demands for extra payments complaint can be lodged at temple office.
Temple entry is forbidden on the first day of the Seva.

I need your help and advice
In my wife’s house there is sarpa prathishta and every year they perform pooja for Naga.(Nagapooja by a priest)Recently one astrologer advised to some pooja like do pooja for naga(sarpam)idol made with gold and eggs made with silver and do “AVAHANAM” and give to one of the temple in kerala w which is only for Naga(sarpam)
But Some of the family members are not willing to do these poojas.Without their presence it is difficult to do pooja at home.
in my family my elder daughter married for last 4 years and no children.Younger daughter married and always some or other small problem with husband.
May be this is because of any sarpa dosha?Is it possible for me(as father) do SARPASAMSKARA POOJA on my name or 2 poojas in my daughters name?No astrologers recommend any sarpa pooja other than which i mentioned above.
If yes kindly advice me is one pooja is enough or two poojas to be done?In our community we are still following the maternal customs.So what ever the astrologer told to my wife is the same thing is applicable to my daughters aslo?

I had come with my sister and family for sarpa samskara seva and naga prathistapani on 10th Nov 2018. stayed there for two days and got that finished. Thanks to the pujari who performed the puja for us.
I was shocked to hear other pujaris around us demanding 500/- and above each day by the people who had come for puja. The sufferer gave the amount with the fear that the pujaries will put Shrap if they dont pay.
On the other hand you clearly mention to complaint the authority. This is opening asked. am sure this is known to the management also.
Then why do you simply mention this when you can not stop this.
People fear that if they dont give then the pujaries will put sharpa.
When they tried to pay 100 /- the pujari said you can keep that money if you want the parihara pay — amount.
If you can stop this please do stop or dont write like that.
Any media person who has read this please make a documentary.
So that this kind of things are stopped and the poor people who is not prepared in advance do not suffer.
