Onam Songs gives energy and boosts the festivity

Malayalees living in Kerala and staying in the rest of the world celebrates the harvest and state festival Onam with gaiety and lot of pomp. This ten day festivity has each and every day with some importance. The ten-day carnival fully engages the householders in different types of activities.

It is to be noted that apart from Onasadya, boat race, floral carpet and games, the songs are sung melodiously during the festive season plays an important role in the festivity. It really spreads good cheer and merriment during the festival. It is to be remembered that there is a wide and rare collection of Malayalam folk songs from the traditional folk groups, cinema songs and stage drama songs which are much popular among the Malayalees.
