Navagauri Navdurga Darshan Yatra in Varanasi

Navagauri Navdurga Darshan Yatra in Varanasi is celebrated during Sharad Navratri. In 2013, Varanasi Navagauri Navdurga Darshan Yatra begins on October 5th and ends on October 13. Varanasi is one of the best places to watch out for Navratri Durga Pooja celebrations.

According to Skanda Purana, Bhagwati Durga along with Kaalratri and other forms of Goddesses, protect Kashipuri from all the four directions. Hence, devotees should worship Maa Durga.

Nine Navagauri Goddesses installed at and around Varanasi are – Shri Mukh-Nirmalika Gauri, Shri Mangla Gauri, Shri Lalita Gauri, Shri Vishalakshi Gauri, Shri Mahalakshmi Gauri, Shri Jaishtha Gauri, Shri Saubhagya Gauri, Shri Sringaar Gauri and Shri Bhavani Gauri.

Nine Navadurga Goddesses are – Shailputri Devi, Brahmacharini Devi, Chandraghanta Devi, Kushmanda Devi, Skandamata Devi, Katyayani Devi, Kaalratri Devi, Mahagauri Devi and Siddhidhatri Devi.
