Today, 13 October 2013 is Mahanavami, the final day of Navratri. It also marks the fourth day in Durga Puja in Bengal.
Mahanavami is celebrated on Ashwin Shukla Paksha Navami. As per Hindu beliefs, Durga puja on Maha Navami is equal to Durga pooja performed on all 9 days of Durga Navaratri.
Goddess Siddhidatri puja is performed on Mahanavami day.
Suvasini Puja, Dampat Puja and Kumari Puja (Kanya Puja), Ayudha Puja are also performed on this day.
