65-Feet Clay Ganesha idol in Lower Tank Bund, Hyderabad | Largest Ganesh in Twin Cities

65-feet Clay Ganesha idol in Lower Tank Bund in Hyderabad is the largest Ganapathi idol in twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad for Ganesh Chaturthi 2017. This Ganesha is made of clay from Ganga river.

Mr T Murali, a local businessman and resident of Tank Bund, has been taking up the initiative of installing the tallest eco-friendly Clay Ganesha idol in Hyderabad since four years.

The mammoth Ganapathi is made of bamboo, grass, clay and silt brought from River Ganga, the most auspicious river in Sanatana Dharma. And this Ganesha has been attracting huge crowds since 2014. A group of sculptors worked for more than a couple of months for construction of the idol.

In the words of T Murali, ‘the main aim of this Ganapathi installation is to spread awareness about using eco-friendly methods of worshipping Vinayaka and not promoting PoP idols.

The significant feature of this Ganapathi is there would be no immersion of the idol. Using water cannons the idol is dissolved right at the place of installation.
