Khairatabad Ganapathi 2015 will be 59 feet mammoth Ganesha idol. In order to start the construction of the biggest Ganesha idol, the organizers had performed the Karra Pooja (Bhumi Pooja) on Kattekola Ekadashi (Krishna Paksha Ekadashi in Jyeshta Masam), 12 June 2015.
In 2015, Ganesh Navaratri begins on September 17 with Ganesh Chaturhti Puja.
According to the organizers, this year the Ganapathi vigraham will be of 59 feet height.
This year (2015) is the 61st Year of Ganapathi Navaratri celebrations for Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samithi. On this occasion, some special pujas will be performed.
As per the official sources, the design will be finalized after discussing with the devotees from various sections and taking advises from common people.
